Here are some pictures of Lewes Bonfire Night 2004. The tableau, entitled "I'm not helping much" is a huge Ram (representing Firle Bonfire Society) being pestered by our "local" BBC reporter. This is a reference to last year when FBS blew up a caravan and got into trouble with the police for "inciting racial hatred". The feeling was that if the BBC had not whipped up the story, it would never have gone as far as it did. The prosecution later dropped the case, but not before causing considerable worry to those innocent members of FBS who were involved in making their tableau.
