Welcome to our Ireland 2005 Page.

We flew from Gatwick to Cork with EasyJet. We picked up our hire car which was an upgrade to an Opel Zafira - a people carrier.

Our first stop was at Killarney to get some food then we drove the scenic route to Kenmare. Here are the girls looking a bit cold en route at 'Ladies' View'.

The first full day was pretty windy too, and we went over the Healy Pass on the Beara Peninsula

Kenmare is a pretty little town, with lots of pubs.

This is the view from the sitting room of the cottage we rented.

This is at Sneem, on the Ring of Kerry.

And this is the deserted beach at Waterville.

On the way home we fouind the road was just being closed for blasting to make it wider. Rather than drive all the way round the Ring the other way, we waited for half an hour until the blasting was over.

We went in a nice pub at Anascaul on the wasy to Dingle

Here is Ruby on the beach opposite our cottage (it's the pink one above her outstretched finger) and the girls sitting on a model of a dolphin which apparently lives in Dingle harbour (the second biggest natural harbour in the world, after Sydney).

Here we are on Inch beach - people take their cars on just like in Australia!

At this place Olivia immersed her head in the sea for some unknown reason!
