January

A good start to the year - three days of lockdown in Brisbane! Thankfully that's all over with, for now at least, so here's a strange creature I spotted crawling across the path the other day. Apparently it's a Bagworm Moth Caterpillar. It was about four inches long. In other news, Olivia no longer has to display 'P' plates when driving!

The big news this month is that Ruby and Euan are engaged! Here they are, showing off the ring.

Bonfire returned after a year off because of COVID last year. The Gap Bonfire Society is now Eatons Hill Bonfire Society. For the first time we had a small torch-lit procession and a fire. We decided to have 2020, not 2021, as a fiery piece; it was good enough for the Olympics and the Euros so it was good enough for us. The tableau was a football with COVID spikes being kicked by what looks suspiciously like an Italian footballer's boot. Many thanks to Paul for the video.
